EF0 Tornado Touches Down in Easley, South Carolina

The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down Saturday night in Pickens County, South Carolina.

The EF0 tornado formed just before 10 p.m. on May 3 on the south side of Easley, near Adger Road, according to the NWS.

Forecasters estimated wind speeds reached up to 80 miles per hour, with a 25-yard-wide path of damage.

The tornado remained on the ground for 2.71 miles, eventually dissipating over a neighborhood near Crestview Road, officials said.

No injuries were reported, but the storm uprooted several trees and caused minor damage along its path.

The National Weather Service continues to monitor the area for any additional severe weather impacts.
